Mary Heale, CPA

Welcome to my practice. I have 30 years of experience as a certified public accountant and serve accounting and tax clients in Colorado and across the United States. Our offices are in Lakewood, Colorado.
I have extensive experience in tax preparation and planning for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts and estates, and non-profits. I'm experienced as well in financial statement preparation, litigation support, business consulting and trustee services. I specialize in helping small businesses be successful. My commitment is to provide you with the highest quality tax, accounting and consulting services on a timely and professional basis. My goal as a trusted financial advisor is to be available when you need me, be responsive to all my client needs and to provide insightful advice to enable my clients to make informed financial decisions.
We are a community-spirited organization serving on the boards of non-profits as well as providing no/low-cost services to local charities.
When I am not helping clients I love to travel with my husband, David and also enjoy all possible time with our thirteen grandchildren.
Tom Huff
Tom grew up in Colorado. After serving in the Navy he graduated from Texas State University. After a couple of career changes, which included owning his own business, he’s been an accountant since 2006.
His specialties include: small business accounting, non profit accounting, QuickBooks setup and training, and CFO services on both small and medium size businesses. Tom is completing coursework to become an Enrolled Agent and a QuickBooks Pro Advisor.
When Tom isn’t in the office working to benefit you financially, you may find him skiing, fishing or just watching one of Denver’s great pro sports teams.
Jon Bunyak, CPA
I have over five years of public accounting experience providing auditing, tax, and accounting/financial consulting services to privately held companies across the Rocky Mountain Front Range. As a full service CPA working with individuals as well as companies with annual revenues ranging from $1 million to companies with revenues over $150 million, I understand the issues that can arise in your business and personal life that can have an impact on your financial well being. While most of my experience is working with construction related companies, my accounting/financial background enables me to assist with any industry. With a strong commitment to customer service, I believe my role as your CPA is more as a professional advisor and as a part of your personal/business financial team, rather than a tax preparer that you speak with once a year who may not understand how factors (both past and future) will affect your financial well being. Accounting is not just about reviewing past performance, but also planning for the future, and by staying in touch throughout the year we can work together to make sure you are in the best position financially.
By living here most of my life, I understand how the Colorado economy has changed and been effected by the current economy. I received a bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and a master’s in accounting from the University of Colorado in Denver. I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Colorado Society of CPAs. When I am not helping you with your accounting and tax needs, you can find me spending time with my wife Bess and family and friends, either traveling, playing team sports, or watching the Rockies or Nuggets. I definitely take advantage of Colorado having over 300 days of sunshine.
Bella Selko
Bella has over 13 years experience in the accounting field. She has consulted extensively with businesses and process owners in the areas of retail strategies, inventory management, product costing, warehousing, distribution, and planning. She is committed to sharing her experience with business owners to help them thrive financially and eliminate unnecessary time draining activities.
She grew up in northeastern Ohio and received her undergrad degree in Accounting from Ohio University. After moving to Colorado, she completed her MBA in 2005 at CU Denver. She is a certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor who loves to teach tips and tricks that will make your processes more efficient and save you money.
Her expertise is in inventory management - from accurately reflecting all products costs such as freight in and breakage, to pricing strategies to help businesses keep their inventory fresh and not have capital tied up in slow moving product. She is skilled at planning and budgeting and truly believes in the process – after all, how can we know if we are maximizing our potential if we don’t measure where we’re at today and set ourselves realistic attainable goals which challenge us to grow? She is also proficient in numerous software applications.
When she’s not crunching numbers, Bella enjoys spending time with her family, reading, yoga, hiking and skiing.
Kathy Longacre
Ms. Longacre was a consultant to M. Heale Corp. and is her office manager, also providing bookkeeping and web marketing services.
Kathy is a professional organizer and provides assistance in organizing your office or your home.

Kathy is also our Elder Care Specialist, there to be on your team, looking out for your parents or grandparents best interests.
This includes:
- Reviewing and paying household bills, budgeting, and record keeping
- Assistance with check writing and checkbook balancing
- Making sure money is received, receipted, and deposited
- Organizing personal, financial, and legal documents to determine what needs to be addressed
- Preparing an inventory of personal assets and investments
- Arranging proper level of care, transportation, and caregiver assessment
Kathy is the proud mother of Scott, Brent, Christina, Ken and Michael. She has nine wonderful grandchildren. You will find her dancing, skiing or relaxing at her cabin in
Alaska
when she isn't working.
